Michelle: A good start on the storyboard, but it needs more detail. Your script should contain the specific words that would be read by the narrator or acted out by the onscreen actor.
You also need to describe what actions will happen on screen. For example, "Man walking left to right and appears to be engaged in critical thought". This would be the direction you would need to consider when shooting the videos.
Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I was really having a problem with the shooting of the video. Everything that I wanted to include was stationary objects. I was really experiencing a writer's block. I believe I got it!! :)
Hi Michele, It looks like you have a clear mind map of where you want to go with your topic. Using Dr. Powley's suggestions, the storyboard will take shape and guide your video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your support and comments. This is definitely a challenge for me. This will be my first actural video consisting of 50 percent to 75 percent moving objects. Despite the many barriers that I am experiencing in doing this project, I am still learning a lot about distance education and the use of the many technologies. :)
Hi Michele, I am not a community member, but, unless I have missed something, I only have one active member in my community, and the aspect of feedback is important to me. I feel like I know you, because we have been in the same classes all year. I hope you don't mind. I was wondering if you have already written and/or recorded your narration? If so, what tools did/will you use for the recording? Remember, we are introducing a guest speaker in our projects! Thanks! Lynetta
Hi Michele, I like seeing how everyone did thier story board. We each have the same goal in mind and a different way of getting there. I was under the impression that we had to make drawings. Some people did pictures, videos, etc. It is interesting to see the applications to the destination of a final production. Joy
Yes we have had some classes together. Welcome to our community!! I have been working on writing my script. Your video must correlate to the script. The script will help you to take moving shots of what is to be said and what is going to be said next. The bottom line, we must create and design a video. This first one is very challenging. After that, it will become easier and then I can be more creative.
Thanks so much. What we are doing regarding our project should have been completing in parts. At the end of our journey, we can look back and see how everything ties in and that in order to have been successful with this project, we must balance our time wisely.
Hello Michelle, We are truly being stretched this quarter. You are off to a great start. Looking forward to viewing your final presentation and learning more about critical thinking skills.
Hi Marlene, Thank you so much for your comments and support. This is definitely a challenge this quarter in trying to balance the newness in learning and technologies, work, school (including other courses), family, and important social activities. Therefore, we must continue to do our best and we will be successful in our journey in becoming scholarly practitioners in distance education. :)
